Bowling, bowling, bowling, Get those Bownesians bowling!

Third times the charm! Well for some people anyway. Shaggy continued his bad luck streak by having a busted wing during this year's bowling tournament. Luckily, there were plenty of stand in offers, not that they were needed.

Franzky mentally estimates the cost of this toss if he does not get a strike.

Sporting a fine looking jersey, Graeme mows down the pins.

Mr. Smooth, Bryce Vanderburg, shows off his bowling technique.

Twinkle toes Sieb has maintained his form despite only working occasionally at Bow Cycle these days.

Stephen Mathews throws one of his many strikes, (Sorry Mathews, I can't keep a straight face typing that)

Beware Bow Cycle invades Mt.Norquay

Bow Cycle celebrated our last closed Monday before the season hit by going skiing. With a good turnout and a range of skill levels, we all managed to stick together. The conditions were great, as we were blessed with good weather and lots of sunshine. We even got to see some training runs done by future Olympians. Although I doubt they could keep up with the Bow Cycle style for a full day.

Below - Bryce was flying the Pilsner flag quite early in the day, while Rabbit was testing the snow conditions in the parking lot.

As is the case with a large group of people, the boarders and skiers separated but we caught up to each other on numerous occasions. In the end, Lisa survived getting lost, Mathews and Shaggy never did get kicked off of the hill, and for all the riding out of bounds no one died in a an avalanche.

Finally, a shot of most of us. And remember - Don't ski with fear, ski with beer.

Second Annual Bow Cycle Bowling Tournament

The second annual Bow Cycle bowling tournament came and went with great success! Much like the first one, this tournament saw everything - balls flying backwards, side bets, varying degrees of hangovers, and Bow Cycle using every ten pin lane in the house!

With one less week this year than last more emphasis was on individuals as opposed to teams. Bryce put up the big numbers on the board on the second week, which gave him the honour's for the highest overall score of 178 and the highest 3 game average of 153.33 for the competition.

On the women's side, Diana had the high women score of 142, and Jen with the high average of 116.667. Other mentionable awards go to Kristy with the lowest single game score of 54, Brian P. for hitting the hidden score and Shaggy and Michelle Hons for the high combined couples score.

We would like to thank our hosts Mountain View Bowlerama, for helping us put on a great event and keeping the fridge stocked with cold Pillies and - well not kicking us out. Thanks to all the staff who took part in the tournament - we look forward to the 3nd annual tournament next November.
