Moose Mountain Fire Tower Climb All dry and no fires out there… ha ha ha. Raced a small moose down a ways until he dropped me - someone should sign this guy (although he'd be the first moose on the Bow Team)!

Kelly's Comments:
I used the GU20 Sports Drink (Lemon Lime flavour). It tastes great and works well to keep you hydrated, keeping those all important electrolytes in you.

TRAIL CONDITION
Reclaimer Trail (Canmore) Wicked trail just off the Spray Lakes Road that was built by IMBA Canada. Lot's of bermed corners, twisty, swoopy singletrack that can be done on an XC bike. Ryan Draper, local Canmore hot dogger does this trail in full XC spandex etc. and drops many a DH rider I've been told. This trail was in amazing shape even with all the rain we've had. I highly suggest hitting this one when doing any riding around the Nordic Center.
Canmore Nordic Center Lots of construction and trail maintenance going on here to the already amazing trails. Conditions were pretty dry, with just a few puddles and muddy spots.
Jewel Pass Did this one again and it holds up well due to great soil and drainage - just a few puddles and muddy spots.
Baldy Pass Dry as a dry rib up top with some tricky, slick roots and rocks on the way down. No standing water, just a few mountain goats at the bottom - they were friendly though. I love those goats and their vibe!
Kelly's Comments:
Had a rad day, ate some bagels and had some javas at Rocky Mountain Bagel Co. before coming home to Bowness. Thanks to Mike and Jeff for meeting me for the ride!

TRAIL CONDITION
Jewel Pass and Baldy Pass Not too bad: it's pretty rocky so it wasn't too muddy; some down trees on Jewel Pass though
Telephone Loop Gross: super wet and muddy - like riding in the LaRuta in Costa Rica

Kelly's Comments:
My tire of choice right now is the Maxxis Crossmark UST 2.1 - this is a very fast rolling tire that corners amazingly well. It's a 2.1 but has a nice stable feel to it, but isn't great under braking when used as a rear tire. Not great in the mud but a wicked dry conditions hard- packed tire.
