Revelstoke, BC - Wednesday WOW!
Jason Rosmo, myself, and our Bow Cycle buddy Paul Petrin (a.k.a. Hot Dog Eating
Man) headed out to explore the Keystone - Standard
Basin Trail just north of town. After a 50 km rip up along the Columbia
River we climbed 18km up to the parking lot to start the
ride.
What an awesome XC trail! We started climbing right away and soon
found ourselves above the treeline blowing through wicked,
twisty singletrack that wouldn't end. Massive open meadows filled with late
season flowers, glaciers in the distance and more and
more singletrack!
With views similar to the Alps but more technical trails,
this ride is probably THE BEST RIDE I HAVE EVER DONE! Done as an out and back, with a cabin at the turn around point, this trail
has everything.
Thanks to the Revelstoke Cycling Club
and High Country Cycle for the trail map and info.

Golden, BC - Thursday No Way, This Can't Be Right!
Again we took the Hot Dog Man to the Moonraker XC Trails near Golden to ride the epic Canyon Trail! After a nice climb up through some old cut blocks we got into the singletrack and I kept saying to myself "This can't be right" and "No Way" - this trail was so amazing!
Swoopy singletrack that followed this amazing Canyon all the way down to the town of Nicholson! So rad and fun with all kinds of different terrain changes, fast and flowing all the way down. We hit the bottom and then took the 2% Trail back to the truck. It was a nice gradual climb back up.
Saw a black bear and had a nice Golden local say "Hello, Hello" before
hitting the coffee shop. Next time you're driving through town do this
trail - you'll crap in your pants! Well, you know what I mean!
