Heart and Suunto
The Suunto T6 is a whizzy do-it all sports monitor for me. It measures everything from heart rate, speed/distance,altitude,temperature/barometer plus training features and is even a watch too! I use the T6 for mountain biking and will be testing it out in this year’s TransAlp and TransRockies stage races ……stay tuned for that. I can also add different Suunto Pods that are used for running, road or mountain cycling ones and even a GPS pod if I wanted to enter an adventure race. I use the road bike pod on mountain bike and it rocks, I can have all my speed/distance numbers for my rides without mounting anything to my fork. The sensor is built right into the quick release (it’s the same style as the Mavic QR’s) and our top shop pro mechanic Marty Korba (of Kobra Industries) has placed the magnet on my disc rotor and it has been perfect on all my rides.
