Kelly's Trail Reports are back !!
KBC and the Demons

Sounds like an old school R & B band but actually it’s our latest riding trip out to Kamloops Bike Camp in sunny and warm BC. Chuck Brennan and the gang took myself (a 3 time KBC vet and survivor!) and a few Bow Cycle first timers out for a rip on some of his best trails.

Every type of terrain and trail is there at KBC from gnarly, rocky fast stuff to techy ladders, log rides and stunts all on steep side. But for me the best stuff is the trail called Old School and the MASSIVE road gap and jump sections used in the ROAM video ridden by KBC coach and Kamloopian Matt Hunter that were shot there. Master KBC guide and resident pro freerider Devin Knopf showed the gang how it’s done and ripped the gap and jumps with style leaving the rest of us simply speechless!

The trails were in awesome shape for us and we all found something to either challenge us or scare the crap out of us which is great. KBC offers a nice change from the ski hill riding with amazing trails and terrain with a laid back interior BC vibe that is awesome for both the novice or veteran rider. Coaching and customs trips can also be arranged as well.

After our dirt session we hit up a native sweat lodge to shake out any of our demons, which worked…..I think? Later on we finished off with the KBC standard of a nice fire and beers on the shore of Little Shuswap Lake……simply amazing stuff. Looking for somewhere to ride before the ski hills open….check out KBC…..you’ll be hooked!
