Why We Make It We build bearings, so we build bottom brackets. The humble threaded bottom bracket is often the first part installed on a new frame, and the last one the rider thinks about during the life of the bike, but the bottom bracket has a direct effect on pedaling efficiency (read: speed). This is where you put your power into the bike. Having the absolute best interface between your effort and your bike’s forward momentum makes your ride better. The Threadfit™ 24 is how we make bikes that take 24mm cranks the best they can be. Why You Want It ThreadFit™ 24 fits 24mm cranks in BSA bottom bracket shells. Our ThreadFit™ 24 bottom bracket is designed and built to be durable, serviceable, and silent. Manufactured to create the most precise interface between your frame’s bottom bracket shell and your cranks, it makes your cranks spin lightly and easily, without interference, for the lifetime of your bike (with a little regular service). King’s legendary, angular-contact bearings, both steel and ceramic, are the best in the industry, and actually get faster over time, as their contact surfaces wear. You want this bottom bracket because it offers super low drag. You want this bottom bracket, because it can be opened, cleaned and repacked for years of faithful service. You want this bottom bracket, because you don’t want to think an awful lot about your bottom bracket. Why We Make It We build bearings, so we build bottom brackets. T47 is a standard we helped develop, an answer to the imprecise and often loud press fit bottom brackets that appeared on the market a few years ago. White Industries external BSA style bottom brackets are made here in our shop with U.S. sourced 6061-T6 aluminum and feature Enduro stainless steel bearings or Enduro XD-15 ceramic bearings where available. We offer them with four different bearing sizes to help you fit your favorite crank to your favorite bike. “BSA” bottom bracket shells and cups are named after the Birmingham Small Arms Company which created the thread standard used in this system. It’s also referred to as “British” or “English” style and is the most common type of system found on modern bicycles. The “external” designation refers to the fact that the bearings will sit outboard of your frame’s bottom bracket shell as opposed to being tucked inside the shell as you would find on some styles of BSA bottom brackets. Features • Comes in for bearing sizes to fit: • 30mm White Industries M/A/R/G cranks as well as other brands of 30mm spindle cranks • 29mm SRAM DUB cranks • 24mm Shimano HollowTech II cranks • GXP 22mm/24mm cranks • Dust seals included with all models • Internal BB sleeves are not available for our BSA bottom brackets Specs • 1.37” x 24 TPI threads (“BSA” threads) • Designed to be used on 68mm or 73mm wide bottom bracket shells • Weight/pr (with bearings and seals) • 30mm: 83g • 29mm: 90g • 24mm: 84g
